tú (familiar, singular) is used when you are being familiar –
talking to friends, family, children, or favorite pets.
usted (formal, singular) is used when you are being formal –
talking to adults, professionals, or people you don’t know well.
It is abbreviated Ud.
ustedes (formal, plural) is used when talking about more
than one person. It is abbreviated Uds.
vosotros-as (familiar, plural) is commonly used in Spain and
in some types of literature.
