Weather
How’s the weather? Have you seen the
weather report?
The report said that on Monday it’s going to
rain. On Tuesday it’s going to snow and on
Wednesday there are going to be strong
winds. Sometimes we even have tornados.
That is bad.
Right now there are clouds in the sky and
there is thunder. It will be better if we
go in the house. I think it’s going to rain
.
El tiempo
¿Qué tiempo hace? ¿Has visto el informe del
tiempo?
El informe indica que el lunes va a llover. El
martes va a nevar y el miércoles van a hacer
vientos fuertes. A veces aún tenemos tornados.
Eso es malo.
Ahora hay nubes en el cielo y hay truenos. Será
mejor si entramos en la casa. Pienso que va a
llover.

Vacations
I like to travel. Someday I want to travel to
Africa. Another place I want to go is Russia.
Right now we are studying about Russia in
school. We are learning about the country—
the culture, the economy, principal cities,
agriculture, and other interesting facts. I
think that traveling is a good way to get an
education.
Vacaciones
Me gusta viajar. Algún día deseo viajar al África.
Otro lugar adonde deseo ir es Rusia. Ahora,
estamos estudiando acerca de Rusia en la escuela.
Estamos aprendiendo sobre el país--la cultura, la
economía, la agricultura, las ciudades principales y
otros hechos interesantes. Pienso que el viajar es
una buena manera de obtener una educación.
Transportation
Our family is going to have a family reunion.
Our ancestors are from Italy so
we decided to meet together there. Some of
the family members will travel by plane and
others will travel by boat. Our cousins live in
France so they will travel by train. It will be
a very nice opportunity to be together again.
Transporte
Nuestra familia va a tener una reunión familiar.
Nuestros antepasados son de Italia así que
decidimos encontrarnos allí. Algunos miembros de
la familia viajarán en avión y otros viajarán en
barco. Nuestros primos viven en Francia y viajarán
en tren. Será una oportunidad muy buena estar
juntos otra vez.

Time
What is your schedule today?
Well, at one o’clock I have to go to the
hairdressers. Then, at three thirty I need
to pick up my child from school. I have to
arrive on time. He has to be at his soccer
game by four o’clock.
You need to hurry. You are going to be late.
Can you please tell me the time?
It’s ten to four.
You are right. I need to leave now. See you
later.
La hora
¿Cuál es tu horario de hoy?
Pues, a la una tengo que ir a la peluquería. Luego,
a las tres y media necesito recoger a mi niño de la
escuela. Tengo que llegar a tiempo. Él tiene que
estar en su partido de fútbol a las cuatro.
Necesitas apurarte. Vas a llegar tarde.
¿Puedes decirme qué hora es?
Faltan diez para las cuatro.
Tienes razón. Necesito irme. Nos vemos.
